In 2024 I also decided to follow the Austrian aid team to the Madonna Austrian Hospital in Nigeria. The year 2024 brought a special focus on the treatment of eye diseases by the team of Austrian ophthalmologists from the “Seeing Without Borders” association. They were accompanied by a group of opticians from Austria who were dedicated to dispensing glasses. A doctor specializing in vein and hand operations also traveled for the first time. Together they formed a team that not only provided medical assistance, but also brought hope and better vision to the local population.
